Are you a lover of art? Visiting a place and never visiting its museums, cultural places or art galleries may sound foreign and meaningless. It does not make sense… Does it? After all;

Art is longing. You never arrive, but you keep going in the hope that you will.
― Anselm Kiefer

In this feature, we explore seven places to find Good art or a variety of Art in Uganda that you might visit either as a one-time tourist, a returning tourist, or even an interested Ugandan national.

As Pablo Picasso once said,

        Afriart Gallery is located at Plot 110/12 along Seventh Street Industrial Area, Kampala, and has been in existence since 2002. The gallery has since then become a pillar in both Ugandan and Africa’s art spaces. The gallery does everything from mentoring and nurturing arts from across the African region, showcasing their work, and hosting exhibitions, to mention but a few. The gallery has also over the years built a strong network and community of art lovers, both online and offline. Follow them on Instagram and their website here.

        Gallery Antique, as its name implies, specializes in antiquities that is to say old tribal art sculptures, beadings, masks, and pottery.
