1. Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa (by area), sitting Uganda, Kenya ad Tanzania. The lake’s area is 26,828 square miles (69,484 square km). 

2.  Lake Victoria is the world’s largest tropical lake.

3. Lake Victoria is the world’s second-largest freshwater lake by surface area after Lake Superior in North America. 

4. Lake Victoria is the source of the Nile River, the longest river in the world. Outflow location: White Nile. River Nile is estimated to be 6,6500km long, approximately 4,132 miles and it flows from Uganda, East Africa northward through northeastern Africa to the Mediterranean Sea and has three principal streams: the Blue Nile, the Atbara, and the White Nile

6. Fish: Nile perch, Nile tilapia, silver fish

7.Islands: Ukerewe Island, Rubondo Island, Ukora Island, Maboko Island etc

8. Lake Victoria is estimated to have between 900 to 3,000 islands.
